Who's watching you?

power is a complex concept as discussed in our lecture, it has do you with "who controls society, who is taking important decisions and who is considered as being influential in the society"(Christian Fuchs, 2014).
Facebook is a remarkable virtual network of my choice, by the fact that i am on Facebook. I join Facebook four years ago and i found the experience quite imbalanced, imbalanced because those who have the mono pole of having more followers continue to control the system, i mean celebrities.
from my own experience, i have just realized that Facebook as a virtual network has a social power impact in the society" Facebook emerged as the architectural equivalent of a glass house, with a publicly open structure, looser behavioral norms and abundance of tools that members use to leave cues for each other"(zizi papacharissi,2009). The fatal shooting of black man by police during traffic stop in Minneapolis caught on video and posted of Facebook and seen by the all world just in a second, has changed my understanding about Internet," who's watching you?"as for the panopticon," which enabled as prison guards to see all prisoners without being seen"(sherry turkle,1995)
In our day, increasingly centralized databases provide a
material basis for a vastly extended Panopticon that could include the
Internet. Even now there is talk of network censorship, in part through
(artificially) intelligent agents capable of surveillance.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO, has remarked that
in designing Facebook, he did not want the site to look ‘showy or cool’, but
rather,‘to work’ (Cassidy, 2006), producing a ‘social utility that connects you
with the people around you’. Facebook has been for me the voice for the voiceless and power for the powerless'' whilst others use it and even abuse it''(Allen, 2003).
